What is the Trad?
Developed in conjunction with the BMC, the Trad has been designed by outdoor enthusiasts for outdoor enthusiasts. It feels like cotton yet performs like a polyester, offering the best of both worlds.
What is it made of?
The Trad is made using Dri Release with a Polygiene treatment. Dri Release combines a mixture of synthetic and natural fibres to offer a t-shirt that feels like cotton (super soft, stretchy, comfortable), yet performs like a polyester (tough, moisture-wicking, quick-drying) to offer the best of both worlds. Montane claims the Trad dries 4 times faster than standard cotton, which is pretty impressive.
To further enhance its performance, Montane use a Polygiene coating to ensure the Trad can be used for multiday trips without fear of offending your campmates. This coating will never wear off and doesn't require topping up; it really is a fit and forget type of baselayer.
How does it fit?
It features a 'semi-tailored' fit with a crew neck, so it's a little slimmer than your standard cotton t-shirt but looser than a typical slim-fitting baselayer.
