The Descente Light Insulation Hoodie is a men's lightly insulated midlayer from Descente's Marco Odermatt collection. In Descente's range it lives as a mid-layer rather than an outer shell — a knit-faced, hooded jacket meant to add a manageable amount of warmth under your shell on the hill, or to wear on its own around town and on milder active days.
It's built on a knit face fabric with light synthetic insulation, so it adds warmth without the loft or bulk of a heavier insulated jacket. The cut is a full-zip hooded silhouette with hand pockets — a piece meant to move with you, layer cleanly under a jacket, and pull double duty between the mountain and everyday wear.
This one suits skiers who run warm, milder days on the calendar, or anyone who prefers to build their own layering system and wants a light insulator to slot in under a shell. Because a midlayer has to sit close without binding and still fit under your jacket, sizing is worth getting right rather than guessing at. Stop by the shop and we'll help you try it on and match it to the rest of your kit, from base layer to outer shell.
